Examination and Promotion
Promotion from a lower to higher class will be decided on the student’s whole year’s performance (tests, internal assessment & continuous evaluation).
- Tests and internal assessment will be conducted on a regular basis. The final result will be based on the average of the marks obtained in the tests, internal assessment and continuous evaluation.
- There can be no anticipation or postponement of any test paper. When students are ill, they should not be sent to answer any test. In case of illness, the final result will be settled on the basis of the terms work and general performance during the year.
- Willful breach of any regulation for the conduct of an examination is punishable with expulsion from the examination or if subsequently discovered the cancellation of the answer script.
- To pass in any subject a student has to secure 35% marks (in English 40% marks) and on average total of 40% marks. Any student who loses the progress card will be fined Rs. 100/- .
- Students who have failed for two years consecutively will not be allowed to continue their study in this school. Any student who fails twice in three consecutive years and whose performance is very poor may be asked to be withdrawn. Those who have completed their courses for Secondary/Sr. Secondary School certificate are obliged to leave the school.
- No student should approach the class teacher for private tuitions.
- Results declared at the close of the year are final in all cases and will not be reconsidered.
- Answer papers of Annual Examination are not shown to the parents/guardians.
