"The function of leadership is to produce more leaders, not more followers." — Ralph Nader
I Devannsh Mishra, would like to express my sincere gratitude towards the Almighty, The School Management, our Principal Rev Fr Archibald D Silvaand the teachers for giving me the opportunity to be the School Captain of St. Aloysius High School.
This journey, as many of us already know, is not merely about holding a title but about growing into a leader who can make a difference in our school community. As I reflect on this journey, I find the role of the faculty and management to be of paramount importance in not just my journey but in every student who is lucky enough to enter the gates of St. Aloysius high school.
The journey to becoming school captain has been one filled with various challenges but at the same time filled with lessons about life that have taught me valuable teachings and have helped shape me into the person that I am today .Our school right from the start laid the foundation for leadership through its rich educational environment. Here, learning extends beyond textbooks and exams. We are encouraged to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills through various academic and extracurricular programs. The ability to think critically and make informed decisions is crucial for any leader, and our school ensuredI had ample opportunities to practice and hone these skills.
St. Aloysius High School is that perfect place where the holistic development of each child is personally looked into. It’s a place where I have spent countless hours, not just attending classes but growing as an individual. Here, every corner of the school tells a story, each classroom resonates with the echoes of laughter, curiosity, and determination that have defined my journey.
The teachers at this school have been more than educators; they have been mentors, guides, and sources of inspiration. Their unwavering dedication to our development has left an indelible mark on my life. They have not only imparted knowledge but have also taught us life lessons that extend beyond textbooks. Their encouragement and support have been pivotal in helping us navigate both academic and personal challenges.
The support we receive from our peers is equally important. The relationships we build and the interactions we have with others are instrumental in developing our interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence. As the school captain, managing these relationships and understanding diverse perspectives has been crucial. Our school’s culture of encouragement and recognition boosts our confidence and motivates us to strive for excellence.
As I reflect on the journey that led me to become the School Captain, I am reminded of the powerful words :"Leadership is not about being in control. It is about creating a space where others feel empowered to take control of their own destinies."
These words highlight that true leadership involves empowering others rather than simply directing them. It emphasizes the importance of fostering an environment where individuals can take initiative and realize their potential.
A school captain should lead with empathy, understanding the diverse needs and perspectives of their peers. They should be approachable and supportive, providing encouragement and assistance to students and helping to create a positive and inclusive school environment. This is a lesson I hope to inculcate into me throughout my tenure as school captain.
My belief is that a true leader should demonstrate a strong work ethic, showing dedication to their responsibilities and the school community. Their commitment should be evident in their punctuality, preparation, and follow-through on tasks.Managing the demands of academic work, extracurricular activities, and the responsibilities of being a school captain requires effective time management and organizational skills and these are the skills I intend on possessing .
So, I as the School Captain of St. Aloysius High School, will try my best to take my school to the pinnacle ,"A leader is one who can see the horizon and inspire others to reach it, even when the path is unclear."This quote emphasizes the role of a visionary leader in seeing beyond immediate circumstances and guiding others towards a compelling future, even when the journey is uncertainand I Devannsh Mishra , the School Captain, with your support and my commitment, will achieve excellence and create a legacy worth remembering.
Thank you

I Hezron Isaac Masih, would like to express my sincere gratitude towards the Almighty, The
School Management, our Principal Rev Fr Walter D Silva and the teachers for giving me the
opportunity to be the School Captain of St. Aloysius High School.
Today, whatever I am or rather wherever I stand, I dedicate my success journey to my Alma
Mater. St. Aloysius High School; is not just a school it's an emotion to each one of us.
Our school is in its Platinum Jubilee year, which is a matter of pride for us. As we all
know school is the second home of the young minds where they spent few hours daily with
their fellow mates and learn under the guidance of the teachers, it's our parents’ dream
that their children have access to the best quality education for the personal and
professional growth.
Believe me, St. Aloysius High School is that perfect place where the holistic development of
each and every child is personally looked into. It's a place where I've spent countless hours,
forged friendships, and learned valuable lessons. The classrooms echo with memories of
laughter, curiosity, and determination. The teachers who guided me, the friends who
shared my journey, and the moments that defined my school years flood my mind. Our
school will always hold a special place in my heart, and these memories will be
cherished forever.
As I reflect on the journey that led me to become the School Captain, I am reminded of the powerful
words of Nelson Mandela: "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the
world." This quote underscores the essence of our school experience, and it's our collective
responsibility to make the most of it.
Throughout my time at St. Aloysius’ High School, I have had the privilege of witnessing the
incredible potential within our student body. Each one of us is a future leader, change-maker,
and contributor to society. As School Captain, my goal is to nurture this potential, to
inspire, and to lead by example.
It is said that “Leadership is not about being in charge. It is about taking care of those
in your charge." This is a principle that I hold dear, and I am committed to being a leader
who listens to your concerns, works for your betterment, and creates an inclusive and
supportive environment for everyone.
My belief is that a true leader should first and foremost envision a work environment where
the importance of team work is revered. He is the one who needs to instill the fact in team
members, that no one is smarter than all of us, that success is not about individual goals
but about collective good, that it is amazing how much we can accomplish if we care less
about who gets the credit and more about how much we can do when we aim for something
bigger than each one of us.
The next benchmark to set is that of novelty, innovation and the materialization of ideas that
are envisaged collectively by diverse minds. Such a goal requires firsthand thinking, soul
searching, extensive observation of surroundings, the recognition of what is missing and the
realization of that one realm where we need to improvise and innovate.
So, I as the School Captain of St. Aloysius High School, will try my best to take my school to
the pinnacle. Steven Redhead said, “Be a visionary focused upon your ability to create your
desires within your reality,” and I Hezron Isaac Masih, the School Captain, with your support
and my commitment, will achieve excellence and create a legacy worth remembering.
Thank you

“A very warm welcome to the website of St. Aloysius’ High School”
Being a student of Aloysius’ undoubtedly I can say that it is the best institution to stay in .It
is the confluence of well educated ‘guiding lights’-the teachers who burn themselves
thought their hard work to light u the developing candles; a perfect head to lead the
institution- the principal Rev. Fr. Water D Silva, the other supporting staff who helps us
though their visible and invisible ways.
I am very grateful to the principal and the school staff for believing in me and giving me the
opportunity to serve my school .it is a matter of extreme honor to be elected as the head
boy of such an elite institution which has excelled in each and every field be it in academics,
sports, interschool and international events.
“To become a diamond you have to be cut and polished and to be a shining star you have to be burnt.”
I would like to thank all the members of this wonderful institution for giving me such moral
and spiritual values which have polished me and shaped me to become worthy of being a
head boy, this institution has also helped my emergence as a good student also a good
human being.
According to me, if we want to achieve our goals and become a successful man we should:-

accomplish their inspirational grades and I assure you that I will leave no stone unturned to
make our school reach unscaled heights.

“Being a part of St. Aloysius’ High School for its long years I can assure you that this is one of the best institutions that one can be a part of. I feel myself very honored and privileged to be the Head Boy of this great institution.”
First of all, I am very grateful to the school staff for believing in my potential and giving me the opportunity to serve my school as the head boy.
From the very first day in the school, I have learnt many lessons not just limited to academics but about life. And on the basis of that, I can surely say that St. Aloysius’ High School is not a school where one is only taught lessons related to curriculum; instead it is a school where one is taught lessons related to life as well.
My fellow Aloysians, I feel proud to say that we have performed very well as far as academics, sports & co-curricular activities are concerned but these are still opportunities for enhancement. So we need to engage ourselves in working all our weak areas and optimizing our performance.
According to me there are 4 D’s for success.
- Desire
- Determination
- Discipline
- Direction
And we being Aloysians do not need to worry about being provided the right direction.
I also request the senior students to take all the responsibility of guiding the juniors and motivating them to strive towards excellence. At the end I urge all students to work hard in their respective areas so that we can soar high and high.
Thank you

“Success is not just about what you accomplish in your life; it’s what you inspire others to do.”
Being a student for 14 long years in St. Aloysius’ I can assuredly say that it is the best institution to be in.

School can become a temple of learning only
when the student, the guardian, and the society,
in harmony, endeavor to make it a place of
pursuit for education, a sadhana; where the
spring of punctuality, sanctity and thrust for
knowledge flows.
Being the head boy, I consider myself to be
fortunate as I have been given such a great
opportunity to hold the flag of ST.ALOYSIUS
HIGH SCHOOL. This campus has provided a
great support to the students so that they can
learn true meaning of life and can achieve
success. School is the best place for the
students as it provides all phases of future to
excel.
Standing at this point of my life I would like to
thanks my Parents, Principal and my
teachers that they showed faith in me.
I assure to be good leader and try to put my
100% efforts to raise our school flag to the top.

then you are a leader. - John Adams
Dilip Paudel
School Captain
(2016-17)
First of all, I am very grateful to the principal and the staff for believing in
my potential and giving me the opportunity to serve my school as a School Captain.
From the very first day in the school, I have learned many Lessons not just limited
to academics, but about life. And on the basis of that, I can surely say that Aloysius
is not a school where one is only taught lessons related to curriculum; instead
it is a school where one is taught lessons related to life as well.
My fellow Aloysians, I feel proud to say that we have performed very well as far
as academics, sports and co-curricular activities are concerned. But there are still
opportunities for enhancement. So, we need to engage ourselves in working on our
weak areas and optimizing our performance.
To come out in flying colors in any competition, according to me there are five
basic rules which one should keep in mind:
1) Work hard to achieve your goal.
Remember there is no substitute for hard work.
”There is no elevator for success; you have to take the stairs.”
2) Aim high.
We should aim above the mark so that we can at least hit the mark. And always
remember that sky is the limit.
3) Stay motivated!
Motivation is what keeps you going. So, be motivated always.
4) Have self confidence.
Self confidence is the foundation of all great success and achievements.
“To be a winner, you have to believe in yourself. Nobody else will.”
5) We are one.
When there is teamwork, wonderful things can be achieved.
I also request the senior students to take on the responsibility of guiding the
juniors and motivating them to strive towards excellence.
At the end, I urge all the students to work hard in their respective arenas so that
we can soar high and high!
Abhay Pratap Singh
Class XII School Captain
First and foremost I would like to express my feelings of gratitude towards the
school Principal and staff for providing me the opportunity to serve my school as
a school captain.
Right from the time I stepped into the school I have perceived my school as an esteemed
and premier institution. I would like it to continue to be so always.
Our School has a glorious history and it owes to us students that we forge ahead
on the same path by means of hard work and co-operation.
In our glorious journey ahead, in my opinion there are four important points to
keep in mind.
First, Developing self confidence and self belief.
Second, Dream big.
Third, Think ahead.
Fourth and the most important is to adopt a practical approach and not just
remain at dream or thought level.
If we want our dream of glorious St. Aloysius’ School come true, we need to work
hard.
“If you want to shine like Sun, first you have to burn like Sun”.
I urge the Office bearers to set an example of magnificent leadership so as to motivate
students to strive towards excellence.
At the end I would like to draw the student’s attention to these famous lines that
can boost their confidence.
“Life’s battles don’t always go to the
stronger or faster man
But sooner or later to the man
who thinks he can”.
As the School captain I solicit the co-operation of all students so that with great
achievements for ourselves and school, we can march ahead in the path of glory and
dignity.
Harshit Agarwal
Class XII School Captain
I am indeed grateful to the Principal and the Staff for providing me the opportunity
to serve St. Aloysius’ High School as School Captain. I have always thought of my
school as GLORIOUS ALOYSIUS – YESTERDAY – TODAY – TOMORROW.
I invite my fellow students to share and strengthen my vision of the school. For
this requisite ingredients are to be provided by the students in the form of their
skills, talents, cooperation and hard work.
In this great undertaking, it is essential for us to develop common opinion and
aim i.e. to make sure that we all are united in thought and action. In order to
ensure complete uniformity in thought and action, the so called “Common Action Plan”
should be adopted by every student of the school.
Common Action Plan:
Salient features:
1.) We will engage ourselves in sharpening our skills and eradicating our
weaknesses. Students should try to identify their potential and work on them. They
should look upon their teachers and seniors for guidance and assistance.
2.) Seniors, Take charge-
Students of the senior section should take up the responsibilities and portray themselves
as ‘Ideal Students” to their juniors.
3.) We are one-
Spirit of unity should be developed so that we work as a team. Selfish motives should
not precede the welfare of the school i.e.
School is more important than individuals. Above all, take pride to be an Aloysian.
4.) Aim High, Aim Big!
Our approach towards our goal should be positive and spiced with determination i.e.
We’ll aim for the Moon
Because even if we Miss
We’ll land among the stars!!!
5.) Say Yes to can, No to can’t -
Self belief should be generated, as it is the most trusted tool in the process of
achieving your goal. Explaining the process in a few words, it’s about.
Dreaming………..Believing………and……….Achieving.
6.) Something to learn, something to remember…….
a) To be as hardworking as an ant colony
b) To be as organized as a flock of disciplined birds
c) To be as united and busy as bees.
7.) Final Destination:
After going through the above suggested measures, our aim can be summarized as:
To shine on the academic front
To dominate
co-curricular events and
To excel on the sports field.
And of course, always remember to let the school flag fly high and fly forever!!
